Miuccia Prada a trouvé une manière inédite de faire ses débuts au cinéma. La créatrice italienne a dessiné deux costumes pour l’héroïne guerrière, Deunan Knute, personnage principal du film d’animation japonais « Appleseed ex-machina », inspiré d’un célèbre manga. Ce film, produit par John Woo et qui sortira le 20 octobre au Japon, est le deuxième épisode des aventures de Deunan Knute dans la ville futuriste d’Olympus. « J’aime les femmes de pouvoir avec des symboles forts de féminité » a expliqué la créatrice.
« J’adore les contrastes, c’est pourquoi j’ai été intriguée par la saga Appleseed. La bataille entre les humains et la technologie, entre la paix et la violence. Je voulais que ces vêtements apparaissent contemporains mais non datés ou clichés par rapport à ce genre ».
De nombreux artistes du monde de la mode ou de la musique ont exprimé leur admiration pour le monde futuriste d’Appleseed qui a également fédéré de nombreux fans qui se sont littéralement arrachés le DVD à sa sortie. Aux côtés de Miuccia Prada qui a fourni des dessins originaux (un « casual » et une robe du soir) pour habiller l’héroïne, on trouve le créateur Haruomi Hosono ou les fameux compositeurs Haruomi Hosono et Ryuichi Sakamoto. I had a lot of thinking lately. I thought I might share some of my thoughts. Let's say I had this interview for Emerce and ofcourse... the good things of interviews is that it makes you reflect on what you said and what you didn't said, or what has been said..
There was one sentence that stroke me in a special way but I couldn't recall what it was, and now I have found it, just today. During the interview, Toine the interviewer and me had an exchange on what could be the potential of these MiniFizz avatars and the Channel MiniFizz, and quite soon came the words, could they be digital fitting dolls ...that's where I felt there was something I should sort out for myself. Are MiniFizz Popp's digital fitting dolls...No they aren't ! That's what it is all about...if you say fitting , you're talking about sizes ! And that reminds me the painfull experience of Europe's first major dot.com collapse, online retailer Boo.com.
What would be the major difference between Boo and Minifizz; Apart from the huge capital they had available? Apart from the fact that we are 8 years later and internet hopping and buying stuff online has become the most common thing on earth.? Well, probably it's emotion and fun.MiniFizz isn't about wich size should I take but is a very funny way to explore your looks and enjoy the dressing experience,it's a way to self-expression, a way to get to know others and very unambitiously having fun with clothes the same way boys have fun with speed! And boy, didn't that work out well? There are a countless number of games based on very basic pleasure experiences. it even gives the impression that we allow ourselves to have shameless fun with things we wouldn't allow in real live.
Does that mean there's no buying act Minifizz channel what concerns clothing? Indeed, in that way, MiniFizz channel works as a portal for clothing brands.but a portal that keeps it's members easily playing a half hour with the available clothing, exploring, trying out, exchanging opinions and organising contests. Not a bad starting point to end with an online shopping act on one of the brands online sites, no?

I contacted them and here is his response:

"Exploring Emergence" uses a really simple applet that we wrote many years back. Amazingly enough it was written for java 1.02 and we haven't had any reason to update it.

None of us here have any experience with J2ME yet so we won't be able to do a quick port. We are, however, planning on doing some cell phone based projects in the coming months so it's quite likely that we will eventually get the thing working as a midlet.

I'd be happy to send you the source code if you or someone else there has the time and ability to get the port done more quickly. Like you, I'm also quite curious to see how it looks on a phone.

you can get Google Maps on your phone -- satellite photos and all -- with a Java tool called Mobile GMaps.

All you need is a Java-capable phone with an internet connection. Point your phone to the Mobile GMaps WAP site, wap.mgmaps.com, to download the software.

Caution: It is new software, and was buggy in our tests but great, great fun

Jane magazine, Mobot offer prizes for snapping photos of magazine ads

Jane, a women's magazine catering to 18 to 34 year olds, and Mobot, a new company offering photo recognition software, have partnered to create an advertising promotion based upon readers snapping camera phone photos of ads in Jane.

Thanks to an entry in picturephoning.com and an e-mail from Russell, I learned about the article in The New York Times discussing the camera phone promotion.

Swedish men prefer the news

Swedish women play more games on their mobile phones than men. Young people and commuters are more interested than others in downloading and listening to music on their mobile phones.

A new survey charting the attitudes of Swedish mobile users to 3G revealed a marked interest in mobile services,

When asked which mobile services the users prefer, 16 percent of women said that they frequently played games and a many as 56 percent have tried it. The corresponding figure for men is 11 percent and 57 percent respectively.
